Robert is an extremely experienced criminal solicitor and has specialised almost exclusively in criminal defence work since 2004.
Whilst at Law School, Robert’s career initially drifted towards the City and a corporate law role, having been offered a training contract with a corporate specialist, but during a year out following graduation, he realised that his true passion was for criminal law and as such he began a lifetime’s devotion to working on behalf of those accused of a crime.
He was initially trained by, and subsequently worked for, one of the country’s largest, specialist, criminal defence firms based in London where over many years, he rose through the ranks of aspiring young lawyers to be appointed a Director of the firm gaining a wealth of experience on the way, regularly dealing with serious, gang-related offending.
Due to family commitments, Robert then moved to Kent where he has now practised for well over a decade. In that time, he has represented people in Courts and Police Stations all over Kent and London on a daily basis.
Due to the geographical location of his practice (close to the Channel Tunnel and Port of Dover), Robert began to undertake and develop an interest in a lot of cross-border offences and has sought to further specialise in cases where people are accused of international, parental child abduction and other forms of cross-border offending.
Robert however remains experienced at dealing with the entire range of criminal offences and prides himself on offering compassionate, down-to-earth and realistic advice whilst doing his utmost to fight his client’s corner.
Alan Land trained as a barrister and was called to the bar by Middle Temple in 2008.
He cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and has been working predominately in criminal defence work, covering the whole range of offences. With extensive experience with several offences, Alan has also worked with large-scale drug supply cases, including those involving Encro chat.
Alan's strengths and particular expertise lie in road traffic law and can offer the best solutions to clients for relatable offences.
More recently Alan has undertaken private family law instructions, including divorce and child contact disputes. He can also represent and advise on non-molestation applications and breaches. He has excellent knowledge through his work in criminal defence in relation to breaches of non-molestation orders which are criminal offences.
Alan is also very much a family man and knows that in times when a solicitor is needed that clients need the utmost care.
